This design-build project provided operational improvements at the existing I-16 at SR 307/Dean Forest Road interchange by adjusting ramp lengths, constructing a diverging diamond interchange, replacing the existing signals at the ramps, and replacing the existing SR 307/Dean Forest Road bridge over I-16 with parallel two-span PSC beam bridges. It also included adding an additional exit lane on I-16 for the eastbound off-ramp, lighting, and a 10-foot shared-use path, which was constructed on one side of SR 307, and a sidewalk on the opposite side. The total length of the project was 1.2 miles.
