The Women Transportation Seminar (WTS) South Carolina Chapter hosted its 3rd Annual Transportation Trailblazers Event last month at the Columbia Museum of Art, featuring three transportation leaders who shared their insights on the industry.
Renee Mulholland (Senior Environmental Planner | Charleston, SC) attended the event and had an excellent time networking with South Carolina’s transportation leaders and industry professionals.

The South Carolina Chapter of WTS was founded by a group of professional women in 2019 and was proud to become the 62nd chapter of WTS International. Advancing women in transportation is a key to creating a more diverse, inclusive and equitable workforce that reflects the communities we serve.
The Harris County Toll Road Authority (HCTRA) hosted an “All Lanes Open” business session earlier this month in Houston, Texas.
ICE’s Darshan Padmanabha, P.E., PTOE (Senior Traffic Engineer | Houston, TX), Khader Abu Al-Eis, P.E., PMP (Vice President – CM/CEI (Major Projects) | Austin, TX), and Ahmad Akl, P.E., PMP (Project Manager (CQAM) | Houston, TX) attended the session. HCTRA’s Executive Director, Roberto Trevino, P.E. and team delivered exciting updates about upcoming projects and opportunities.
The Harris County Toll Road Authority’s (HCTRA) mission is to responsibly operate and maintain a safe, reliable, sustainable, and evolving mobility system that meets the diverse connectivity needs of all Harris County residents. HCTRA is an Enterprise Fund of Harris County and relies on charges from users of the toll road system to fund operations, debt service, and future projects.
