Mr. Gillis began has extensive experience in transportation design and construction gained through serving as a transportation designer, project engineer, estimator, and project manager on various projects since 1998. He has managed, and/or designed roadway approach work for more than 90 bridge replacements, and he has served as the Construction/Project Manager for multi-million-dollar pavement rehabilitation and terminal projects for the South Carolina Ports Authority. His current responsibilities include project management, engineering design, permitting, utility coordination, maintenance of traffic design, quality control, and CPM scheduling. In addition to his project management responsibilities, Mr. Gillis is the firm’s Vice President of Special Projects and Design-Build Coordinator and oversees the pursuit, planning, and development of major Design-Build projects in both North and South Carolina.
Mr. Gillis received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of South Carolina and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Georgia, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina.
