Since 1996, Mr. Al-Jamal has been serving in structural design, quality assurance / quality control, and management roles on infrastructure improvement projects nationwide. As the Vice President of North Carolina Surface he is responsible for overseeing the performance of roadway, structural, hydrology and geotechnical design throughout the state. His expertise includes structural engineering, seismic design, development and maintenance of schedules and budgets, design discipline coordination, and construction management. Mr. Al-Jamal has extensive experience on a variety of projects and project delivery methods specifically design-build, and has effectively demonstrated the ability to be responsive to his clients and to effectively manage projects from inception through construction.

Mr. Al-Jamal received his undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology and earned his master’s degree in civil engineer from the University of Tennessee. He also holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of South Carolina and is licensed as a Professional Engineer in seven states; North Carolina, Arizona, California, Georgia, Missouri, South Carolina, and Virginia.
