This design-build project consisted of replacing the existing bridge on SC 901 over Rocky Creek, which was an 11-span bridge with a total length of 330′ and was 26.5′ wide. The existing guardrail barrier was corroded, and the attached timber posts and curbing were deteriorating, necessitating the replacement of the bridge. The existing bridge was replaced with a three-span bridge totaling 339′ in length, with each span 113′ long and comprised of prestressed concrete beams. The new bridge is supported by multi-column bents founded on drilled shafts. ICE served as the Lead Design Firm responsible for providing project management, environmental services, bridge design, roadway design, hydraulic/hydrological design, utility coordination, right-of-way services, construction phase services, and load capacity ratings.
