ICE Serves with Miracle League of Columbia

Several weeks ago, some of our ICE Headquarters team members, along with their families, dedicated their Saturday to volunteering with the Miracle League of Columbia. They participated in two PAL (Player-Assisted League) baseball games held at the Pineview Baseball Complex in West Columbia.

The Miracle League provides an environment for children with mental and physical disabilities to enjoy “America’s Favorite Pastime.” All players receive a jersey and hat and are accompanied by a “Buddy” at bat and in the field to assist players in the game and protect them from injury. The League is dedicated to individuals four years old and older, and games are played on rubber fields to adapt to the needs and safety of all players.

MC Probus, PE (Water Resources Engineer), organized ICE’s team of volunteers for the games, which consisted of Cameron Nations, PE (VP—Special Projects), Mitchell Metts, PE (VP—Project Business Management), Preston Felkel, PE (SC Structures Manager), and their family members. The ICE team and their loved ones had a BLAST cheering on and supporting the players!
