ICE Employees Donate more than 2600lbs of food for Thanksgiving

Columbia and Greenville employees participated in local food drives the week before Thanksgiving and collected more than 2600lbs of food. Greenville collected 1200lbs of food for their local food banks and the Columbia donations were taken to Mission Lexington and handed out from the mobile food pantry which travels to the rural areas of Lexington County to assist those who do not have transportation or who have a disability that may limit them from getting to the Mission Lexington campus. A total of 45 “meals bags” were donated which included a turkey/ham, canned vegetables, stuffing, cornbread, cranberry sauce, and desserts. The food drive committee also collected donations that allowed for the purchase of 24 additional turkey. The ICE “Kids” participated by creating greeting cards for the food basket recipients.
